Call for proposals

I. Purpose of the call

The purpose of this call is to identify and select civil society organizations that hold a current authorization to receive donations deductible from Income Tax and that carry out activities aligned with the Foundation's 5 strategic axes, in order to grant financial support for the continuity of their programs.

II. Eligible organizations

Civil organizations may participate if they:

1. Hold a current authorization to receive donations deductible from Income Tax at the time of submitting their application and throughout the term of the support.
2. Are up to date with their legal and tax obligations.
3. Carry out activities that generate social benefits and that fall within the activities authorized by the applicable legislation.
4. Submit the documentation and information required in this call.

Organizations dedicated to sports activities, religious proselytism or political propaganda are not eligible.

III. Amount and use of the support

Financial support will be granted according to Fundación Beckmann's budget availability.

The resources must be used exclusively to fulfill the authorized corporate purpose of the applying organizations.

The granting organization may set maximum amounts, eligible items and other specific conditions for each call.

IV. Requirements for authorized donees eligible for financial support

1. Hold an authorization to receive donations deductible from Income Tax for activities aligned with the Foundation's corporate purpose.
2. Demonstrate at least 5 years of operations.
3. Have a positive tax compliance opinion.
4. Have filed, in due time and form, the annual income tax return and the transparency information return for the previous 3 fiscal years.
5. Demonstrate the activities carried out during the 5 years of operations.
6. Include in the donation request a free-form letter demonstrating the need for funding for maintenance, development or growth.
7. Include in the donation request a list with the name and RFC (tax ID) of the partners, associates, trustees, legal representatives or any member of the civil organization, as well as the notarial instruments that support it.
8. Submit a statement, under oath, that the partners, associates, trustees, legal representatives or any member of the civil organization are not part of, nor have any kind of relationship with, this Organization.
9. Submit a bank statement no older than three months for the bank account opened in the name of the Organization to which the financial support will be transferred.
10. Tax identification of the Organization's legal representatives.

V. Evaluation criteria

Applications will be evaluated considering, among other aspects:

1. The consistency of the project with the social purposes of the applying organization.
2. The expected social impact.
3. Technical, operational and financial feasibility.
4. The organization's experience and institutional capacity.
5. The proper use of and accountability for previously received support, if applicable.
6. Alignment with the Foundation's corporate purpose.

VI. Selection and allocation of resources

The selection of beneficiary organizations will be made by the Board of Directors, based on the criteria set out in this call.

The decision will be final and will be notified to the selected organizations by email.

VII. Formalization of the support

Selected organizations must sign the corresponding financial support agreement, which will set out the rights and obligations of the parties, the amount of the support, the use of the resources, the monitoring mechanisms and the obligations to provide evidence and report on activities.

VIII. Monitoring and accountability

Beneficiary organizations must submit the activity and financial reports requested of them, as well as documentation proving the proper use of the resources received.

The convening organization may request additional information and carry out follow-up actions to verify that the objectives of the support granted are met.
